Becky Butler said she asked for this item to be placed on the agenda to capture in the minutes actions
that were taken – but missed in the minutes – during a previous meeting. Becky said she is asking for
direction to use of the balance. Commissioner Pollock noted there were additional items needing
discussion surrounding the budget and said she didn’t feel it was appropriate to continue the discussion
without all the entities that were at stake.

executive session with David Bailey under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:25 a.m. to discuss the Aquirre tort

Commissioner Brummer made a motion to move two notice items, two consent items and one
deliberation item to the Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Pollock seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
Roundtable:
Ryan Barrett thanked everyone involved with the Fair for 2026 for all their efforts.
Becky said she will be out of office Aug. 20-25.
Mindy Brooks thanked Rudy Rodriguez for his help with budget season. Mindy also said there is a
vacancy for a building inspector. She said there have been delays in processing permits due to the
current vacancy. Mindy informed the Board that she had received a few calls regarding Ordinance 1379
and said her department would send out a social media post outlining steps for practical permitting.
Amanda Price said IT is conducting interviews for an IT Director and a network analysis. Amanda said
problems with IT services were identified during the Southwest Washington Fair and that staff has
discussed how to resolve the issues going forward. Amanda said IT will be performing inventory
beginning September. If inventory is on the record for your office or department on May 1, it is part of
ERR / ISF rates for fall budgeting.
Meeting adjourned at 9:32 a.m.
