Public comment: None
Treasurer’s Office updates: Arny Davis discussed efforts to ensure investment entries are accurately
recorded in Munis. Davis said staff have identified errors and are working through them, noting that
progress is being made.
Investments: Shelly Stewart discussed the General Fund interest allocation. Reconciliation remains
underway, so an accurate revenue figure is not yet available to provide to the commissioners. Stewart
said staff hope to have an updated figure soon.
Revenue status update: Commissioner Brummer asked how the county should approach revenue
forecasting for the upcoming budget season. Davis recommended using the previous year’s projections
as a basis for planning the 2027 budget.
Rodney Reynolds discussed his remaining time with Lewis County and offered to remain available by
telephone for a few hours each week following his departure, if needed.
Auditor’s Office updates:
Budget: Grace Jimenez reviewed budget reports and noted that a few funds are slightly above the 67
percent year-to-date benchmark but remain within allowable limits.
Elections Department status update: Tom Stanton provided an update on preparations for the
November election.
Licensing & Recording Department status update: Stanton reported that the department will be fully
staffed for the first time since 2021.
