OF LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF:

calling for bids for removal )
WHEREAS, a land slide in 2014 damaged a portion of Kennicott County Road and an adjacent privately
owned property; and
WHEREAS, the damaged property adjacent to the road at 158 Kennicott Road, Chehalis, was
subsequently offered for sale to the County and was acquired to be used in stabilization of the road; and
WHEREAS, the home and outbuildings located on the property are surplus to the needs of the County
and it intends to remove all structures by moving, demolition, salvage, or a combination thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is unknown whether bids will be received by the County payable by those wanting to
move or salvage the structure, or if bids received will be the cost to the County for demolition; therefore no
minimum bid amount is set.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) that all
structures located at 158 Kennicott Road Chehalis are surplus to the needs of Lewis County and, should be
disposed of in conformance with Lewis County Code 3.30. Advertisement of the proposed call for bids for the
removal of all buildings at 158 Kennicott Road, Chehalis, will meet or exceed requirements of LCC 3.30.
Sealed bids must be delivered to the Lewis County Commissioners Office no later than 11:00 A.M.,
Tuesday, October, 27, 2015, in an envelope clearly marked "SEALED BID FOR REMOVAL OF ALL
STRUCTURES AND ASSOCIATED DEBRIS LOCATED AT 158 KENNICOTT ROAD". Bids will be opened on
October 27, 2015, in the Commissioners Hearing Room on the 2nd floor of the Historical Courthouse in
Chehalis, Washington.
The bids will be evaluated by the Public Works Department to determine the bid most advantageous to
the County. Selection of the successful bidder will be awarded by resolution of the BOCC.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

CALL FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners, Lewis County,
Washington, will open sealed bids and publicly read them aloud on or after 11:30 a.m. on
Tuesday, October 27, 2015, in the Commissioners' Hearing Room on the 2nd floor of the Historic
Courthouse in Chehalis, WA, for the removal of all buildings and associated debris at 158
Kennicott Road, Chehalis.
(Lewis County official time is displayed on Axxess Intertel phones in the office of the Board of
Commissioners)
Sealed bids must be delivered to the Lewis County Commissioners Office (351 NW North St,
CMS-01, Chehalis, WA 98532) by 11:00 a.m., October 27, 2015 and in an envelope clearly
marked "SEALED BID FOR REMOVAL OF ALL STRUCTURES AND ASSOCIATED DEBRIS
LOCATED AT 158 KENNICOTT ROAD". A Cashier's Check in the amount of$500.00 shall
accompany each bid, which will be returned if bid is not the successful bid, and credited toward
the purchase price if the bid is successful.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all
