Public Health Petty Cash Account BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN RE: Rescinding and Replacing Resolution #99-501, ) Resolution #04-314, and Resolution #07-290 ) Public Health & Social Services Accountability and ) Resolution No. 18- 0 Petty Cash Account WHEREAS, Resolution 99-501 established a petty cash fund for Fund 190 in the amount of$300, Resolution 04-314 increased the amount for petty cash for Fund 190 by $150, and Resolution 07-290 increased the amount by another $100 for petty cash for Fund 190 for a total of $550 in petty cash for Fund 190; AND WHEREAS, these resolutions need to be rescinded to streamline petty cash for Fund 190; AND WHEREAS, $550 to supply/fund cash drawers is needed to provide change for the immunization clinic, vital records, and permits, and petty cash of $50 will be used for food handler classes and outreach; AND WHEREAS, the custodian of the account shall be the Lewis County Public Health & Social Services Director or her/his designee; AND WHEREAS, all efforts are being made to comply with the State Auditors recommendations for cash control; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of County Commissioners rescinds all resolutions authorizing cash tills and petty cash accounts for Lewis County Public Health & Social Services, including but not limited to: Resolution 99-501, Resolution 04-314, and Resolution 07-290; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Lewis County Public Health & Social Services is authorized $550 to supply/fund cash drawers and $50 for petty cash from Fund 190 and directs the Treasurer's and Auditor's Offices to perform the appropriate accounting. This will rescind those resolutions and authorize one resolution that provides $550 to supply/fund cash drawers and$50 for petty cash. This will be easier for the Accounting office to oversee what funds 190 has for cash and what it is used for. There will be three cash drawers of$150 each, one cash drawer for$100 and petty cash of $50 for outreach and food handler classes.
