Call for bids for the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water Reservoir Construction BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEWIS COUNTY IN THE MATTER OF: } Call for bids for the Vader-Enchanted Valley } Water Reservoir Construction } RESOLUTION NO. 18- i I+] WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 13-504 the county owns and operates the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water System (Water System) and is responsible for providing potable water infrastructure and service within the utility's service area and; WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution 15-339 the Water System has received funding to construct a new water reservoir at the Water Treatment Plant located at 1333 S. Military Rd. Vader, WA., and; WHEREAS, the Water System has received approval from all funding and regulatory agencies to proceed to Bid Advertisement in regards to the afformentioned project, and; WHEREAS, this contract provides for the improvement of the Water System by furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the construction of a 250,000 gallon, column-supported, welded steel water reservoir, raw water pump station and their associated appurtenances, and water lines of the following approximated lengths: 145 linear feet of four-inch ductile iron water line, 210 linear feet of 10- inch ductile iron water line, and 140 linear feet of three-inch pipe; all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is instructed to issue a Call for Bids and Contract Specifications for the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water Reservoir Contruction. Bids for this proposal shall be submitted to the Clerk of the BOCC (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, Washington 98532) by or before 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 and will be opened on or after 11:00 a.m. on April 24, 2018, subject to official proposal addenda that establishes an alternate bid due date or opening time.
