Employment of Casual Community Outreach Worker Senior, PHSS BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN RE: Authorizing the employment of one casual ) Community Outreach Worker Senior for the ) RESOLUTION No. 18- l'J5 Public Health & Social Services Department ) above Extra Help Grade ) WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed the Executive Summary to hire one Casual Community Outreach Worker Senior to complete Youth Marijuana Prevention and Tobacco and Vaping Prevention Policy work; AND WHEREAS, Abrielle Sheets will be hired as a casual employee beginning April 9 through June 30, 2018 for 12 weeks; AND WHEREAS, this casual position will be hired at a Grade 18, Step B, at $20.37 an hour without benefits, and work no more than 24 hours per week in order to secure a qualified candidate to perform tasks outlined in workplans/contracts with CHOICE and Thurston County Public Health and Social Services; AND WHEREAS, funding is available and in the 2018 budget; AND WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to hire one casual employee to complete the prevention policy work; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Abrielle Sheets will be hired as a casual Community Outreach Worker, Senior beginning April 9 through June 30, 2018 at $20.37 per hour to help with the Youth Marijuana Prevention and Tobacco and Vaping• Prevention programs. n DONE IN OPEN SESSION this �� day of --I K.Al( , 2018.
