EXTRA HELP
RESOLUTION NO. 18- 141
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) established compensation for
Extra Help employees on the Lewis County Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid); and
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Salary Schedule places all casual employees in one
salary classification; and
WHEREAS, at times some casual positions will require pay above the casual
classification pay scale; and
WHEREAS, The Administrator of Human Resources is requesting that a casual Risk
Administrator be placed on the Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid); and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the BOCC that the casual Risk Administrator
will be placed at Grade 28 "M" on the Lewis County Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid).

Description
Due to the resignation of the Risk Administrator, Paulette Young, and hiring of Steven Wayne Whiton to replace
the Ms. Young, we are requesting to hire Ms. Young as a casual Risk Administrator for the purposes of
transition. The Lewis County Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid) maximum pay for a casual employee would not be
competitive to hire Ms. Young to perform such duties. Therefore, it is requested to hire Ms. Young at a 28 "M"
on the Lewis County Salary Grid for non-represented employees (13 Step M Grid.)
