(Bunker Crk Rd MP 5.678) Barrier Removal Projects; and WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from Contractors as follows: Contractor Name Bid Columbia Precast, Woodland,WA $284,985.47 Granite Precast, Bellingham, WA $364,903.00 WHEREAS, Columbia Precast provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $284,985.47 for the Culvert Material Purchase—CMP 1603 Stearns Crk. Tributary (Pleasant Valley Rd MP 2.179) and CMP 1604 Prairie Crk. (Bunker Crk Rd MP 5.678) Barrier Removal Projects. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Culvert Material Purchase — CMP 1603 Stearns Crk. Tributary (Pleasant Valley Rd MP 2.179) and CMP 1604 Prairie Crk. (Bunker Crk Rd MP 5.678) Barrier Removal Projects in Lewis County shall be awarded to Columbia Precast in the amount of$284,985.47 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). A Call for Bids was made on April 9,2018. The project was advertised for two consecutive weeks in The Chronicle and The Daily Journals of Commerce, Seattle and Portland. The project was also listed on Lewis County's website. Public Works received 2 responsive bids for this project on April 24, 2018. Columbia Precast provided the lowest responsive bid of$284,985.47. The Engineer's Estimate for this project was $269,500.00. Public Works staff recommends acceptance of the low bid provided by Columbia Precast. Resolution approval will award this contract to Columbia Precast for$284,985.47 upon presentation of a contract acceptable to Lewis County for the Culvert Material Purchase - CMP 1603 Stearns Crk.
