Call for Bids for the Stearns Creek Tributary Culvert Replacement Project BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEWIS COUNTY IN THE MATTER OF: } Call for Bids for the Stearns Creek Tributary ) RESOLUTION NO. 18- 113 Culvert Replacement Project, } (Pleasant Valley Road MP 2.179) } County Maintenance Project No. 1603 } WHEREAS, the Stearns Creek Tributary Culvert Replacement Project (Pleasant Valley Road MP 2.179) is a fish passage barrier removal project funded by federal ($115,000), state ($227,473) and local match (Lewis County - $73,500); and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to improve Stearns Creek Tributary Culvert (Pleasant Valley Road MP 2.179) by installing a stream bypass, implementing a traffic detour, removing the existing concrete box culvert, structure excavation, channel excavation, precast concrete split-box culvert installation, streambed restoration, road restoration with HMA, guardrail, hydroseeding and other work as directed by the Engineer; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 18-116, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the 2018 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction and this project shall be performed by contract in accordance with these specifications. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is instructed to issue a Call for Bids and Contract Specifications for the Steams Creek Tributary Culvert Replacement Project (Pleasant Valley Road MP 2.179), CMP 1603. Bids for this project shall be submitted to the Clerk of the Board of Lewis County Commissioners (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, Washington 98532) by or before 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 and will be opened on or after 11:00 a.m. on June 26, 2018, subject to official project addenda that establishes an alternate bid due date or opening time.
