CONTRACT AWARD 4-H BUILDING AT THE )
SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON FAIR ROOF ) RESOLUTION NO. 18- 4b
REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the 4-H building located at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds sustained significant
damage during a winter storm and when repairs were made it was noted that the entire roof was in poor
condition due to years of exposure; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County has requested bids from the Small Works Roster for provision of such
materials and labor necessary, to meet the requirements, scope and specifications of said project received
the following from:
Cherry Roofing, Inc. of Vancouver, WA $64,220.00
Western Washington Construction, Inc. of Aberdeen, WA 64,980.00
Weatherguard, Inc. of Longview, WA 71,100.00;
and
WHEREAS, the bid has been reviewed by Central Services staff and appears to be responsive and
meets the requirements of the project;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), that the
County awards the contract for the 4-H Building Roof Replacement Project to Cherry Roofing, Inc. of
Vancouver, WA; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Central Services is hereby authorized to sign said
contract on behalf of the BOCC.

A call for bids was made from the Small Works Roster and we received 3 responsive bids. The low bidder was
Cherry Roofing, Inc of Vancouver WA.who bid $64,220.00.
