ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR THE REPLACEMENT
OF THE GRANGE BUILDING ROOF AT THE ) Resolution No. 18- IS I
SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON FAIRGROUNDS
WHEREAS, Lewis County has been awarded a grant to replace the Roof of the Grange Building at
the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Commerce returned a grant offer of up to$54,000.00
to assist Lewis County with this project; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said Resolution
to accept grant funding.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) agrees
with the recommendation of the Central Services Director to accept the grant offer in the amount of
$54,000.00 from Department of Commerce; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the BOCC authorizes the Central Services Director to sign on
behalf of the County.

Description
Lewis County was awarded a$54.000.00 grant to replace the roof on the Grange Building at the Southwest
Washington Fairgrounds. This grant was included as part of the 2017-19 state capital budget which was
approved in 2018.
This grant will awarded up to $54,000.00 in costs towards the project. Due to the delay in passing the final
budget the project was completed prior to the award,but is still eligible for reimbursement.
This project was funded from Fund 301 and it is anticipated that the County will receive approximately $45,000
in reimbursement.
