Venor Publication List BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEWIS COUNTY,WASHINGTON PERTAINING TO COMPETITIVE BIDDING: ) DISPENSING WITH ADVERTISEMENT AND ) RESOLUTION NO. 18- 2_OO FORMAL SEALED BIDDING WITH RESPECT TO ) PURCHASES AND LEASES UNDER TWENTY-FIVE ) THOUSAND($25,000)DOLLARS AND NOTICE OF ) LEWIS COUNTY VENDOR LIST AND SOLICITATION) WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12-196 (RCW 39.04.190) the County has identified its usual and customary needs for leases or purchases of any materials, equipment, supplies,or services(hereinafter referred to as leases or purchases)valued between five thousand dollars($5,000)and twenty-five thousand dollars($25,000);and, WHEREAS, the County has established a vendor list of current active vendors which is available for public inspection at the Lewis County Auditor's Office,Financial Services Division;and, WHEREAS, there are vendor information forms available in the Lewis County Auditor's Office, Financial Services Division and on the county website at www.lewiscountywa.Qov/auditor/vendor-application,for completion by prospective vendors to apply to be included on the available vendor list;and, WHEREAS,the County shall publish in its official newspaper a notice of existence of the vendor list and shall solicit the names of vendors for such lists;and, WHEREAS,leases or purchases may thereafter be entered into by securing telephonic or written quotations from at least three different vendors whenever possible to assure that a competitive price is established and for awarding the contracts for such leases or purchases to the lowest responsible bidder.Authority for such leases or purchases is effective for the period of one year from each publication of notice and solicitation of vendors. Vendors responding to the solicitation will be given the opportunity to submit quotations for items contained in their response; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the County shall publish this notice in its official newspaper. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the referenced vendor list is available for public inspection,and prospective vendors may request information forms,which must be completed in order to apply to be included on the available vendor list from the Lewis County Auditor's Office,Financial Services Division. The County policy incorporating these requirements was established by Resolution# 12-196, and it enables telephonic or written quotes to be used for purchases between $5,000 and $25,000 under certain circumstances. One of those circumstances is that, twice a year, the County must give notice of the County's Vendor List and solicit the names of vendors for addition to the list. This resolution is to satisfy that requirement.
