NOH: Ordinance 1290 Community Development Fee Schedule BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ORDINANCE ) RESOLUTION NO. 18- 1290,AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 18.05— COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FEE SCHEDULE—OF THE LEWIS ) COUNTY CODE TO BETTER ALIGN THE CHAPTER WITH THE ADOPTED LEWIS COUNTY FEE SCHEDULE. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners(BOCC) regularly amends and adopts a Fee Schedule for Community Development, Public Works, and Public Health &Social Services fees; and WHEREAS, this Fee Schedule was last revised as part of Resolution 18-134, and is adopted by reference in the Lewis County Code Chapter 18.05—Community Development Fee Schedule; Chapter 18.10—Public Works Fee Schedule; and Chapter 18.15—Department of Health and Social Services Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, Chapter 18.05—Community Development Fee Schedule contains several code sections that do not necessarily correspond with the adopted Lewis County Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, Chapters 18.10 and 18.15 contain more generalized language that adopts, by reference, the Fee Schedules for the departments; and WHEREAS,to alleviate any confusion associated with the differences between the code sections in Chapter 18.05 and the Fee Schedule fees, Lewis County desires to make the language for Community Development fees similar to the adopting language for Public Works and Public Health &Social Services fees; WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to make this change to the Lewis County Code. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC will hold a public hearing on August 27, 2018 to take public testimony and/or written comment on the adoption of Ordinance 1290, amending Lewis County Code Chapter 18.05; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the BOCC is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, posting and publication for the code change as required by law. The public hearing will consider Ordinance 1290, changes to Lewis County Code Chapter 18.05— Community Development Fee Schedule—to better align the language in the chapter with the adopted Lewis County Fee Schedule. No fees will be altered as a result of the change. The public hearing will be at the Lewis County Courthouse, Commissioners' Hearing Room, 351 NW North Street, Chehalis, WA.At the hearing, individuals will be invited to speak and/or provide written statements regarding the proposed changes.
