Lewis County and the Housing Resource ) RESOLUTION No. 1$- 44L\Center to extend the McKinney Program to )
April 30, 2019 in the amount of$141,067.50 )
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Lewis County, Washington,
has reviewed the recommendation to amend the contract with Housing Resource
Center to provide additional funding for continuing a transitional housing program in
Lewis County and extend the contract for the period of May 11, 2017 through April 30,
2019; AND
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of$141,067.50 for a maximum total of
$292,641.50 is available from the Department of Housing and Urban Development;
AND
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution
of said contract with Housing Resource Center for a transitional housing program;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that contract amendment#1 between
Lewis County and Housing Resource Center for the transitional housing program in the
amount of $141,067.50 from May 11, 2017 through April 30, 2019 is hereby approved
and the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.

Description
This contract amendment,H02-0033-18,between Lewis County and Housing Resource Center increases the
budget by$141,067.50 and extends the contract to April 30,2019. Funds will be used to assist with rental costs
of homeless families and pay the salary of one full-time equivalent position providing outreach and case
management services. These funds are provided through the agreement with the Department of Housing and
Urban Development(HUD) McKinney Transitional Housing Program.
