surplus county property ) RESOLUTION #18- d 1
WHEREAS, RCW 36.34 allows any county to establish comprehensive procedures for the
management of county property consistent with the public interest; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County Code, Chapter 3.30 has established comprehensive procedures for
the management and disposal of county property; and
WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Division of the Lewis County Public Works Department has
determined the vehicles listed in Exhibit "A" have reached their useful life and have been replaced with
new ones; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to declare the vehicles listed in Exhibit "A"
as surplus and to dispose of them in accordance with Lewis County Code and RCW 36.34.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the vehicles listed in Exhibit "A" are hereby declared
surplus and the Fleet Services Division is directed to dispose of them in accordance with RCW 36.34 and
Lewis County Code, Chapter 3.30.

Description
The item listed on Exhibit"A" is no longer useful to Lewis County. The attached listed vehicle has reached its
useful life and has been replaced or scheduled for replacement. We recommend this surplus equipment be sold
at auction on August 28, 2018. The advertising for surplus property and sale will be completed by Lewis
County in accordance with the surplus property ordinance.
