OF LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
RE: RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE INITIAL )
PLACEMENT OF CASUAL AIRPORT MANAGER )
ON THE SALARY GRID (13 STEP "M" GRID) ) RESOLUTION NO. 18- aid
FOR NON-UNION EXTRA HELP
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners established compensation for Extra
Help employees on the Lewis County Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid); and
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Salary Schedule places all casual employees in one
salary classification; and
WHEREAS, some casual positions at times will require pay above the casual
classification pay scale; and
WHEREAS, The Director of Community Development is requesting that a casual Airport
Systems Manager be placed on the Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid); and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the
casual Airport Systems Manager will be placed at Grade 23 ($25.37/hr. - $34.11/hr.) on the
Lewis County Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid).

Description
Due to the vacancy of the casual airport systems manager position in the Lewis County Community
Development Department,the Director of Community Development is requesting to hire a casual airport
systems manager. The Lewis County Salary Grid (13 Step M Grid) maximum pay for a casual employee would
not be competitive to hire a skilled airport systems manager. The Director of Community Development is
requesting that the casual airport systems manager be placed at Grade 23 on the Lewis County Salary Grid(13
Step M Grid.)
