WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 19-175, 176, 177 & 178, a call for bids was issued
on July 1, 2019 for one new trailer, sweeper, tractor mower, and mini excavator, and
WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted by Contractors as follows

WHEREAS, Pape Machinery in Tacoma, Washington provided the only bids for a tilt
trailer and sweeper Washington Tractor in Chehalis, Washington provided the only bid for
a tractor mower, and the lowest responsive bid for a mini excavator
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a contract for the purchase of one new tilt
trailer and one sweeper be awarded to Pape Machinery in the amount of$76,072 52, and one
new tractor mower and one mini excavator be awarded to Washington Tractor in the amount
of $231,730 46, for a total amount of $307,802 98 (FEMA funds) Upon presentation of
contracts acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners, the Director of Public Works (or
his designee) is authorized to sign on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners

Description
A call for bid was issued by the BOCC on July 1, 2019 by Resolution No 19-175, 176, 177 & 178 for the
purchase of one new tilt-utility trailer, one new highway sweeper, one new tractor mower, and one new mini
excavator The proposals were advertised in the Chronicle and the Lewis County website Public Works received
several responsive bids on July 23, 2019
