Authonzation for the Director of IT Services to execute the purchase, migration, and implementation of a new
dispatching and records server, with Motorola Solutions, a Washington state approved contractor
Contact Steven Wohld Phone 3607403349
Department. IT Services
Action Needed Approve Resolution
Description
For many years, the County and its partnering emergency service agencies have utilized Spillman Technologies,
a leading provider of comprehensive law enforcement and public safety software solutions for computer-aided
dispatch(CAD) and records management systems (RMS) In 2016, Motorola Solutions completed its
acquisition of Spillman Technologies
This resolution allows us to upgrade the aging and soon to be unsupported hardware running our Spillman
system with new hardware that is fully supported, more highly available, meaning this will be a group of servers
that support our software application and is cntical to reduce downtime when any server node fails or
experiences overload
In short, this is a technical component to compliment the County's ongoing effort to improve its dispatching
services and operational center
