Becky Butler asked that the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) include a breakdown of the WSU
portion (percentages) for salaries and benefits. Gary Fredricks said he would provide that
documentation.
Jim Kropf discussed WSU’s records retention policies.
Commissioner Jackson discussed concerns about supervision. Wayne Whiton noted that WSU
employees need to attend the applicable county training.
Gary said Leadership Academy kicks off the week of Jan. 28. He said small farm classes will kick off in
March.
Becky said the resolution approving the 2019 MOA could be added Jan. 28.
Gary said WSU’s move has led to a bit of a drop-off in walk-in visitors. He noted that the meeting room is
nearly complete. The group discussed the improved accessibility at WSU Extension’s new location.
Gary said his goal is to have the reimbursement check turned in by month’s end.
Commissioner Fund said the Legislature is proposing a bill to support agricultural fairs.
Becky asked if there are any grants available to help with the fair. Jim and Gary said they would keep an
eye out for applicable grants.
