Chief Civil DPA Eric Eisenberg said he doesn’t believe Twin Transit’s district boundaries were expanded
during the as a result of the April 6, 2018, Transportation Improvement Conference. He noted that
voters turned down the proposal of countywide transit. Eric said Twin Transit’s boundaries remain
unchanged.
Twin Transit attorney Janean Parker said she’d be happy to answer any questions, too.
Eric said that what took place the previous year was not enough to expand Twin Transit’s boundaries.
He said there were two ways it could have been expanded but that the final step was not completed for
either option.
Mark Obtinario of Winlock asked Commissioner Jackson to clarify a statement made during a recent
Winlock City Council meeting. Mark said Commissioner Jackson asserted that in four years, the county
would have countywide transit.
Commissioner Jackson said he had said the boundaries had been expanded and that he wouldn’t give up
on the idea. He said Mark was misunderstanding him.
Janean Parker said she mistakenly had thought that one of the processes had been completed.
Commissioner Fund said she’d like to add to the Wednesday agenda a discussion about Commissioner
Jackson’s replacement on Twin Transit’s governing board. She said she’d like to know if his replacement
has to be a commissioner. Eric said he would gather information regarding the topic.
Meeting adjourned at 3:13 p.m.
