2019-03-25 Update with Code EnforcementUpdate with Code Enforcement March 25, 2019 2:30 p.m. Present: Commissioner Jackson, Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund (by phone), County Manager Erik Martin, Bill Teitzel, Danette York (by phone) Guest: Dr. Lindsey Pollock Recorder: Rieva Lester Bill Teitzel gave the following updates: • A property on Jeffries Road has multiple civil infractions. There are solid waste and critical areas violations. The PA’s Office has raised concerns about indigency. Bill discussed the possibility of a lien on properties. The PA’s Office has been asked to add it as a topic for its upcoming update. • A well has failed in Galvin and there are fears that it may be a sign of things to come. • The county has received complaints about parking along Rose Marie Drive in Chehalis. Bill said the vehicles aren’t junk vehicles and the complaint has been deemed unfounded. • A gentleman on Ferrier Road in Winlock has again been cited for violations. He noted that the man doesn’t own the property, that he merely pays the taxes and that the woman who owned it passed away some time ago. • Solid waste issues at a property on Russell Road in Winlock are worsening. • Individuals are tearing up cars, etc., along the river on property on Newaukum Valley Road. • Neighbor on Smokey Valley Road continues to raise concerns about raw meat being picked up from a kennel operation. • Mobile home on cusp of falling into the river along property on Centralia Alpha Road. • Centralia may try to seize property along Gish Road in Onalaska. The owner is incarcerated, and others are dumping trash and stolen vehicles on the property. • New owner has taken over and is cleaning up a burned-up mobile home on Highway12 in Packwood. • Elderly owners cited with infraction regarding property along Coma Road in Vader. Commissioner Fund and Danette York left at 2.57 p.m. • Owner of property on McAtee Road in Centralia has been cited related to solid waste, occupation restrictions, etc. • PA’s Office may cite GE Toledo Farms for civil infractions. • PA’s Office may cite owner of Winlock property on Hale Road for civil infractions. TO-DO LIST / RECAP BOCC: Discuss with the PA’s Office the possibility of liens regarding unpaid civil infractions. • Packwood landowner is trying to clean up an area where a dam failed on a man-made pond. • Owner of a property on Remy Lane in Onalaska has been cited for living in an RV in a wetland/wetland buffer with no septic or water. Bill said he does not yet have resolutions regarding the Mossyrock bridge and the Howard storage areas. He said the nearby RV park has not complied regarding its bathhouse. Erik Martin left at 3:05 p.m. Commissioner Stamper asked for updates on Pinkerton Road and the Toledo exit. Meeting adjourned at 3:07 p.m.
