Jaime Herrera Beutler’s office, Chehalis Mayor Dennis Dawes, Wes Anderson of WSDOT, Kimberly Pincheira of WSDOT, Dena Horton of Senator Maria Cantwell’s office, Pe Ell Mayor Lonnie Willey, Toledo Mayor Steve Dobosh, Centralia Port Commissioner Peter Lahmann, Winlock Mayor Don Bradshaw, Centralia Mayor Lee Coumbs, Mossyrock Mayor Randall Sasser, Vader Mayor Ken Smith, Morton Mayor Dan Mortensen, Don Webster of the City of Napavine, Randy Mueller of the Port of Chehalis, Colonel Mark Geraldi of US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Evan Carnes of USACE, Bob Thomas of USACE, Jamie Deering of Destination Packwood, Lee Grose of Destination Packwood, Chris Roden of Lewis County PUD Recorder: Candace Hallom Attendees introduced themselves. Tamara Hayes discussed the Southwest Washington Fair Window display contest. She also invited everyone to attend the Fair open house on April 25, 2019. Colonel Mark Geraldi introduced himself and briefly discussed changes in the USACE. Evan Carnes presented a powerpoint. Randy Mueller spoke regarding his experience with the USACE. Randy would like to know more about the changes with USACE. Colonel Mark Geraldi said they are working on continuing the momentum. The USACE is working on efficiency and also outreach. Staffing and budgetary restraints are their biggest issues. Bob Thomas stated one success story from the Seattle office is they have increase their staffing by 25%. Dennis Dawes thanked USACE for attending. Commissioner Stamper asked the USACE about the water level at the dam in Mossyrock. Colonel Mark Geraldi doesn’t have a lot of information regarding the dam. He would like to talk with Commissioner Stamper further to get more information. Chris Roden discussed LED street lights. Roundtable Jill Anderson said the City of Chehalis is getting ready for the spring. Wes Anderson WSDOT updated the group on the project for this summer. Dena Horton read a statement from Senator Maria Cantwell. Lee Grose provided a handout for the Packwood Mountain Festival. Jamie Deering introduced herself and talked about upcoming events. Jamie is the new Director of Destination Packwood. Lonnie Willey provided an update on the Town of Pe Ell. Steve Dobosh discussed the Vision Toledo meeting. Dennis Dawes talked about music in the park. He also spoke about the city’s beautification committee. Dan Mortensen thanked the State and County for their assistance during the snow storm. Randy Mueller discussed some upcoming projects at the Port of Chehalis. Peter Lahmann discussed upcoming projects at the Port of Centralia. Don Bradshaw provided an update on his projects. Lee Coumbs provided an update on events in Centralia. He also noted that Centralia has a number of street projects that will be going on this summer. Randall Sasser said Tacoma Power will be hosting movies in the park again this summer. Don Webster provided an update on the City of Napavine. Ken Smith provided an update on the City of Vader. Commissioner Stamper thanked everyone for attending today. Commissioner Fund spoke regarding social media. Meeting adjourned at 10:55 a.m.
