2019-04-10 Directors UpdateDirectors’ Update April 10, 2019 9:04 a.m. Present: Commissioner Jackson, Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, County Manager Erik Martin, Becky Butler, Archie Smith, Lee Napier, Danette York, Wayne Whiton, Steve Walton, Steve Mansfield, Steve Wohld, Josh Metcalf, Lara McRea Recorder: Rieva Lester Steve Mansfield discussed a proclamation recognizing April 14-20, 2019, as National Public Safety Telecommunication Officer’s Week. Josh Metcalf discussed a call for sealed bids for the North Fork Road Realignment Project, RAP Project No. 2113-01, CRP No. 2158. Lee Napier discussed approval of the seventeenth supplement to a Personal Services Agreement between West Consultants Inc. and Lewis County. Lee said the agreement is for the Early Flood Warning System. Commissioner Fund left at 9:09 a.m. and returned at 9:10 a.m. Josh Metcalf discussed amending the interdepartmental cost-sharing arrangement for Pictometry aerial photo projects to increase the Assessor’s share to add the area covered by the Skookumchuck Wind Farm development easement. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to approve the Lewis County Water District 2 Water System Plan. Becky Butler discussed a resolution regarding the PFD’s repayment of its .09 loan. Commissioner Stamper made a motion to move one Presentation, one Notice item, two Consent items and four Deliberation items to the Monday, April 15, 2019, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Fund seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. Roundtable Josh Metcalf discussed an STP bill before the state Legislature. Steve Walton said L and I will be on-site later in the day to inspect the staff elevator. He said the BOCC carpet will be replaced at the end of May and that work is being done at the fairgrounds, the courthouse and the Star complex. Becky Butler said the budget amendment is scheduled for April 22. Wayne Whiton warned of a tort claim. Steve Wohld said the county’s new website may be launched later in the day. He said IT is working on Windows upgrades. He discussed drive replacements. Steve also discussed annual reviews for cybersecurity and the Know Before cybersecurity training. Commissioner Stamper left at 9:35 a.m. Archie Smith discussed recent ADA training as well as upcoming training opportunities. Lee Napier said the recent Risk Pool training was beneficial. Erik Martin said the county has issued its RFP for strategic planning. Commissioner Fund said arrests have been made in response to a rash of business burglaries in Centralia. She gave updates on other current local news. Commissioner Fund said she’d like to take a group photo in honor of County Government month. Commissioner Jackson thanked the group for its hard work. Meeting ended at 9:51 a.m.
