Budget
Becky will discuss budget program sheets at the next budget update.
Erik discussed a letter from Tacoma Power. He would like to know how soon the Board would like to
respond to the letter. The commissioners want to make sure that if they agree to the dollar amount,
that it does not close the door for further discussion. Erik will send the information to the PA’s office to look into further.
911/DEM Update
Erik discussed the EMD coordinator position.
Public Works
Erik discussed water systems.
Erik said County Real Estate Services has questions regarding the work that Martin Roy does for other
departments that are not part of Roads. The commissioners agreed that the work that Real Estate
Services does for the CFP will need to be paid from capital funds.
IT
Commissioner Fund asked about IT and the discussion regarding electronic signatures. Erik said they are
working on it. There is a lot of work that goes into creating the program and each time Erik meets with
IT, they continue to make progress.
Announcements
Erik discussed an email he received from WSAC regarding Brian Stacy, an Engineer from Pierce County
who won a National Award for engineering.
Erik received four RFPs for Strategic Planning. He would like one commissioner to sit on the committee
to score the RFPs. Commissioner Jackson will take the lead.
