Anderson, Becky Butler, Suzette Smith, Daleyn Coleman, Scott Tinney, Megan Sibbert, Josh Metcalf, Wayne Whiton, Hazel Dibble, Graham Gowing, Steve Wohld, Steve Mansfield, Lee Napier (8:18 a.m.), Shad Hail (8:18 a.m.) Recorder: Rieva Lester Steve Wohld made a motion to approve the April 2019 minutes. Megan Sibbert seconded. Motion passed. Commissioner Jackson said he and Erik Martin would like two or more elected officials to volunteer to help with the RFPs for Strategic Planning. He noted that Dianne Dorey and several directors have agreed to help. Scott Tinney volunteered. Commissioner Fund gave a brief legislative roundup. She urged electeds and directors to reach out to lawmakers to thank them for their work on behalf of Lewis County. Commissioner Fund said the Legislative Roundtable will be Oct. 4. Commissioner Fund said Grays Harbor has filed a lawsuit regarding indigent defense and that WSAC will follow with an amicus brief. She also noted that the ballot box lawsuit is moving forward. She said Rep. Orcutt has suggested county officials and constituents give lawmakers specific suggestions about how to fix problems. Becky Butler said timber numbers are good. Suzette Smith urged offices and departments to make sure deposits are showing in the general ledger. Megan Sibbert said payroll is on track for a July rollout. She said she is available to visit offices and departments to give face-to-face information about the payroll change. Megan said the county no longer will use paper checks. Steve Wohld said IT is going to make our Intranet the home page for users. Steve also discussed cybersecurity testing and training. Meeting ended at 8:48 a.m.
