Josh discussed the notice of RFP for annual cultural resources professional services.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to move one Notice item, two Consent items, one Deliberation
items to the Monday, June 10, 2019, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
Roundtable
Steve Walton stated they have a new custodian hired. They also hired a project maintenance
technician.
Steve Walton updated the group on the status of facilities projects.
Steve Walton is having a discussion with KMB regarding capital plan.
Steve Mansfield stated he has hired Andy Caldwell who is working out really well.
Wayne Whiton stated Casey will be out of town next week and Tawni will be at training next week.
Becky discussed a memo regarding internal fund rates. She urged the directors and managers to read
the memo. Becky needs to know if departments need a rate sheet to calculate the rates, otherwise
everything will be done in Munis.
Steve Wohld discussed an upcoming security update. He also noted that Laserfiche will be updated the
following weekend.
Steve Wohld said Pierce County DEM and IT have teamed up and working on cyber security training.
Josh stated the airport study is moving quickly. Lewis County has been advised that we need to get our
state senator involved.
Josh said Public Works came to the Board for authorization of purchasing vehicles. Awesome Ford could
not provide the vehicle this year and next year the price would increase by 9%. Because of this they
would no longer qualify as the lowest bidder. Josh would like to offer to the next lowest bidder. The
BOCC agreed.
Erik stated he has been working with staff and Danette in Public Health to help plan for when Danette
leaves.
Commissioner Fund noted that the BOCC will be talking about broadband at the Mayors’ meeting on
Friday.
