Ron Averill said the Lewis County Seniors group is in the black.
He said some revenues are slow to come in. He said the group
has earmarked $40,000 for nutrition programs. He said the
group needs to ask the county for support.
Ron said general donations, rentals and college class
participation are down.
Ron said training spending is a tad high and that salaries are where they should be. He said utility costs
are high year to date.
Glenda Forga said the thrift store has sold $96,876 year to date for a profit of $8,700 year to date after
seed money was returned.
Glenda said she would send the profit / loss and balance sheets from Quickbooks as backup
documentation.
Glenda said the Toledo center won root beer floats in a donation contest.
Glenda discussed the number of meals served at the various sites year to date.
Glenda said a “Sip and Shop” event is planned for 5 p.m. July 19. She said it will include a fashion show,
wine tasting, raffles and hors d’oeurvres.
Glenda said the thrift store has four full-time employees and one part-time employee.
Commissioner Jackson and Becky Butler asked for clarification regarding where the Seniors Board is
falling short on its Nutrition funding.
Glenda said Chehalis had pledged to give the Seniors group $20,000 but gave only $7,500.
Glenda said the electrical costs in Winlock have been $900 monthly.
The group discussed donations.
The group discussed the use of a parking lot in Packwood.
