Erik stated he spoke to the Sheriff about getting the law user group together to discuss normalized rates
for 2020. Erik will be discussing the topic further with Steve Mansfield and will update the Board further
as new information comes forward.
Central Services/CFP Update-
Packwood State Parks Land- Erik is waiting for more information from the PA’s Office.

HR Update
EAP for jurors- There has been a request to provide EAP for jurors. Daleyn is looking into the cost.
Facilities South County- Erik updated the Board on an incident at the South County Park where a man
was approaching facility workers.
Salary Commission- No new information to report.
Erik discussed health benefits for Casual Employees. The County is not required to pay for the benefits.
Casual employees who are eligible to sign up, can sign up at his or her own expense.
Erik stated he is working with Suzette on the repayment plan for the overpayment to Judge Samuelson.
Judge Samuelson would like it spread-out the payment for 17 years
Commissioner Fund left the discussion due to conflict of interest.
There was a retirement overpay in the amount of $40,000.
Erik said the longer term offered the longer the interest. Erik would like to look at 5% per year until it is
paid.
Commissioner Jackson and Commissioner Stamper feel that we should follow the RCW.
Erik will offer this to Judge Samuelson and if he does not agree with it then Erik will set up a meeting
with the Judge and the Board to discuss further.

IT Update
PacketWriter 2.0- Lara discussed PacketWriter 2.0. She said Camren has been great and has done a
good job. The kickoff for PacketWriter 2.0 will begin August 21, 2019.
911/DEM Update
Server purchase- The County needs a server for the Spillman program. There is a significant cost but
needs done immediately. There is a reserve in the budget that can pay for the server. This item is part
of the budget amendment on July 29th.
As part of 911 rates, there will be a 4% increase for infrastructure and technology.
Personnel
Erik is working on the plan for Risk and HR. He is looking at ways to organize it to help serve the internal
group well and hopefully save money.
