Commissioner Fund gave an overview of lodging taxes, including how individuals apply, what
documentation entities must provide, how the committee scores applications and what the
commissioners’ role is.
The group discussed the application requirements and application process.
The group set Sept. 6 as the application deadline with a tentative review date in September.

Commissioner Fund discussed the year-to-date collections.
Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Stamper said they had heard that Destination Packwood is facing
financial troubles and that the group’s future lodging tax usage is uncertain.
Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Stamper discussed giving applicants a time limit for
presentations and sending a list of questions applicants should answer.
