Commissioner Jackson noted that two resolutions – amendments to the RCO interagency agreement
and eighth supplemental to an agreement with SBGH-Partners – had been held from the day’s Business
Meeting.
Commissioner Stamper joined at 9:02 a.m.
Rieva Lester said the county has received a few applications for the Salary Commission.
Commissioner Fund gave a recap of the recent Office of the Chehalis Basin meeting.
Commissioner Fund said the BHO will sunset in six months as the mental health work moves to
insurance companies.
Wayne Whiton discussed the July 12 power outage. He noted that temperatures in the server room rose
to triple digits, highlighting the need for generators to keep the area cool. Becky Butler said CFP has
recommended purchasing generators.
County Manager Erik Martin joined at 9:11 a.m.
Becky discussed documentation the Lewis County Seniors Board provided to justify its request for
$50,000 from the county to help with its Nutrition program.
Commissioner Stamper made a motion to move forward with providing to the Lewis County Seniors
Board $50,000 toward its Nutrition program.
Commissioner Fund seconded.
The commissioners said they would like to further discuss the centers’ suggested donations during their
next meeting with the Lewis County Seniors Board.
Motion passed 3-0.
The commissioners reviewed their calendars.
