2019-07-22 BOCC Wrap UpBOCC Wrap-Up July 22, 2019 9 a.m. Present: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, Becky Butler Guests: Dr. Lindsey Pollock, Peter Lahmann, Cody Neuenschwander, Bob Guenther (9:17 a.m.) Recorder: Rieva Lester Commissioner Fund made motion to add the Mickelsen Parkway Distressed Counties funding to the day’s Business Meeting agenda. Commissioner Stamper seconded. Motion passed 2-0. Commissioner Fund made a motion to move forward with a generator purchase. Commissioner Stamper seconded. The commissioners said they would like to know the generator’s capacity. Becky Butler said she would reach out to CFP regarding the generator and to explore military surplus. Motion passed 2-0. Commissioner Stamper said he has been asked that the county allow different burn permits for entities that have special equipment and liability insurance. Commissioner Stamper said he has concerns about audio / video recordings of the BOCC Business Meetings. Commissioner Fund gave updates on the Office of the Chehalis Basin. Commissioner Fund discussed the previous week’s Farm Tour. Bob Guenther joined at 9:17 a.m. Commissioner Fund made a motion to add a cap of 15 percent for administrative costs to the contract language in the UW Distressed Counties / .09 agreement. Commissioner Stamper seconded. Motion passed 2-0. Commissioner Fund said she plans to fly to Washington, D.C., on her own dime to attend the Governmental Affairs meeting. Commissioner Fund discussed the WSAC legislative priorities. Rieva Lester gave a brief update on applications received for the Salary Commission. The commissioners approved minutes for the week of July 1. The group reviewed their calendars. Meeting ended at 9:49 a.m.
