2019-07-24 Auditor Treasurer UpdateUpdate with the Auditor & Treasurer July 24, 2019 10:00 a.m. Attendees: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Stamper (10:16) , Commissioner Jackson, Arny Davis, Rodney Reynolds, Larry Grove, Suzette Smith, Becky Butler, Erik Martin Recorder: Rachel Hunt Finance Committee Meeting 10:01 a.m. Larry Grove made a motion to approve the April minutes Arny Davis seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. Rodney Reynolds outlined the interest yields and deposits in the last 24 months. Rodney continued by discussing the current investment summary. Arny noted there are not any anomalies from his perspective. Rodney discussed the General Fund and Current Expense clearing portfolio summary of investments. Arny discussed the percentage returns on the general fund and current expense funds. Meeting ended at 10:18 a.m. Auditor Treasurer Update Start time 10:19 a.m. Rodney Reynolds discussed the year-to –date budget status report of revenue. Arny asked for clarification about the Distressed Counties fund. Becky and Suzette explained it is due to distribution funds and the billing cycle. Larry Grove asked Rodney to run a report from the Treasurer’s Office showing the different taxes (Sales tax, Property tax, Payment in Lieu of Taxes). Suzette Smith outlined the expenditure report. Commissioner Jackson asked for clarification about 1320P REET operations. MUNIS status update- Suzette said all employees will be paid on schedule as part of the transition. She noted the work of the employees in her office to facilitate the transition. Elections- Larry outlined a new system (VoteWA) that has recently begun. Starting July 1st there are new parameters the elections department has to report to the Secretary of State. Larry also outlined election night procedures and how they will need to be modified. Commissioner Jackson stepped out at 10:44 a.m. Rodney left at 10:44 a.m. Erik Martin stepped out at 10:45 a.m. and reentered at 10:55 a.m. Larry and Suzette discussed the ballot boxes countywide. Becky Butler left at 10:50 a.m. Suzette Smith gave an update about the State Auditor’s Office audit that is currently being conducted. Meeting ended at 10:57 a.m.
