Rieva Lester discussed the letter Eric Eisenberg drafted in response to the SAO’s request for further
information regarding the BOCC’s levy certification process.

Commissioner Jackson left at 10:25 a.m.
Eric Eisenberg further discussed the process by which the Clerk of the Board and the Deputy Assessor
certified special purpose districts’ levies, noting that the Clerk of the Board and the Deputy Assessor
each kept a large binder that they compared to ensure the files were the same. He noted that the BOCC
did not issue a formal after-the-fact resolution to certify the levies.
The commissioners agreed to sign a letter to the SAO.
