2019-10-01 PA UpdatePA Update October 1, 2019 2:07 p.m. Present: Commissioner Stamper (by phone), Commissioner Fund, Amber Caulfield, Eric Eisenberg, Sara Wibowo, Kevin McDowell, Jonathan Meyer, County Manager Erik Martin (2:13 p.m.) Guest: Lara Berg Recorder: Rieva Lester Eric Eisenberg described the system of special assessment that should be used to set the assessments for the county’s two flood control districts. He said those differ from property tax levies and should be revamped every four years. He said Amber Caulfield is working to correct the flood control districts’ election processes, too. Erik Martin joined at 2:13 p.m. Eric said Cemetery District 2 would like to remove a small portion of its district. He said it is now legally possibly for the district to embark on a de-annexation process. The commissioners asked Eric to produce a document outlining how a district would do so. Eric discussed possible revisions to the Noxious Weed Assessment ordinance. Eric discussed Cullen’s work on a potential noise ordinance. Commissioner Stamper discussed a letter he received regarding concerns about a cell tower. The group held two items over for the next PA Update: noise ordinance and cellphone tower. At 2:26 p.m., Commissioner Fund announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 15 minutes to discuss pending and / or potential litigation. Executive Session ended at 2:41 p.m. Commissioner Fund noted that no decisions had been made. Meeting ended at 2:41 p.m.
