Becky Butler reviewed the preliminary budget for 2020, including revenues ($708,425) and expenditures
($1,284,584).
Scott Tinney gave an overview of the duties and responsibilities of the Clerk’s Office.
Scott discussed unfunded mandates and changes the state has implemented that decrease the fees and
fines that the county can collect from convicted criminals.
Scott discussed three other funds that fall under the County Clerk:
• Dispute resolution
• Dispute resolution center
• Dispute resolution facilitator
Commissioner Stamper left at 4:53 p.m.
The group discussed the Guardian ad Litem program as well as employee retention struggles.
