Commissioners Update Minutes: January 23, 2018
Attendance: Commissioner Fund (left at 1635), Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Jackson,
Daleyn Coleman (left at 1700, returned at 1715), Archie Smith, & Shad Hail (1545-1603), Becky

Budget
• Training Material – Need to replace First Aid material. $400 expense that is not in the
budget. Will submit a budget amendment if need be.

Benefits
• Retirement – HR will look at retirement incentives. This is not a buyout, but an incentive
with a nominal fee that employees would receive if they informed their management that
they would be retiring with certain amount of notice to evaluate budget and plan for
replacement.

• EHB – updates completed – Have reviewed David’s review. Will bring back an updated
version and review with BOCC before resolution.

• Recruitment information – HR will look at another vendor and report back to BOCC.
o Risk Administrator: BOCC agreed to allow position to move to halftime. Effective
date TBD. Employee would be paid out notice severance in accordance with
Lewis County Historic Courthouse

stay 4-6 months.
