Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move a DPA
collective bargaining resolution to the Monday BOCC agenda
and to hold the employee handbook resolution.
Commissioner Fund seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
Timber / DNR report: The commissioners and Becky Butler
discussed DNR revenue.
Opioid lawsuit: Becky said she told Danette York about cities
and counties joining the opioid lawsuit, which targets opioid
manufacturers.
BHO money – Alcohol Court: Becky said the board has a meeting to discuss a personnel request later in
the day.
Legislative update: The commissioners briefly discussed bills in the Legislature.
Prothman: Commissioner Jackson discussed the need to address budget concerns.
Mayors’ Meeting: Commissioner Fund said lawmakers have been invited to the March 2 Mayors’
Meeting. Commissioner Jackson said he would like to hold a transportation conference during the time
scheduled for April’s Mayors’ Meeting.
Budget: The group discussed streamlining the response to increase requests.
Calendar: The commissioners discussed their upcoming calendars.
District Court memorandum re: Court Commissioner pay: Becky said she thinks District Court can
absorb its increase request in its budget. Commissioner Fund said she’d like to meet with the judges,
Hazel Dibble, Budget and HR.
Becky left at 9:36 a.m.
Attendance: Commissioner Fund said the commissioners need to make sure PFD is separate from office
job duties.
