RFP to perform groundwater-monitoring services at County Road Central Shop/Mossyrock Police Station BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO 19-315 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO PERFORM GROUNDWATER MONITORING SERVICES AT COUNTY ROAD CENTRAL SHOP AND MOSSYROCK POLICE STATION WHEREAS, Lewis County completed remediation work for contaminant removal projects located at the Lewis County Road Central Shop (109 Forest Napavine Road, Chehalis, WA, solvent cleanup) and former Lewis County Maintenance Shop (231 E. State Street, Mossyrock, WA, fuel underground storage tank removal - currently the Mossyrock Police Station) sites pursuant to Resolutions 09-337 and 06-278, and WHEREAS, the State Department of Ecology (Ecology) requires compliance groundwater quality monitoring and monitoring well decommissioning at these sites; and WHEREAS, publication to solicit for groundwater quality monitoring and well decommissioning services through 2020 is needed. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is instructed to issue a Request for Proposals, evaluate responses, and negotiate a contract with the most qualified Consultant for Ecology compliance groundwater quality monitoring and monitoring well decommissioning at the Lewis County Road Central Shop and former Lewis County Maintenance Shop (currently the Mossyrock Police Station) sites. This contract and supporting consultant selection documentation will be presented to the Board for approval and contract execution..
