Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move a Notice of
Hearing to prescribe the nomination procedure for freeholder
candidates to the Monday, March 12, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
Eric Eisenberg left at 9:06 a.m.
Commissioner Fund said she attended a .09 meeting during which she discussed the ILA with Chehalis
with Mayor Dawes. She said he expressed concern about sales tax. Commissioner Jackson said sales tax
has been a sticking point.
Candy Hallom joined at 9:18 a.m.
The commissioners said they would like a resolution naming Commissioner Stamper as the director and
Commissioner Jackson as the alternate director for the Washington Counties Risk Pool. They said they
would like Tawni Shepherd listed as the interim Risk Manager and interim Claims Administrator.
Candy left at 9:21 a.m.
Commissioner Fund gave an update on the Legislature.
Commissioner Jackson left at 9:24 a.m.
Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Stamper continued discussing the Legislature.
Commissioner Jackson returned at 9:28 a.m., left again at 9:29 a.m. and then returned at 9:31 a.m.
The commissioners discussed their calendars.
Commissioner Fund discussed Fire District 3’s request for funding aid.
The commissioners discussed personnel, including Sheila Gray’s expected retirement from WSU
Extension.
Commissioner Jackson left at 9:47 a.m.
