The group discussed committee appointments. Steve Walton suggested asking the sheriff to weigh in on
Cy Myers’ position on Civil Service.
The group discussed finding a PFD appointee from District 2 or District 3.
Candy Hallom said she would work on GHRBO appointments with Commissioner Fund.
Rieva Lester said she has reached out to the PA’s office regarding the Water Conservancy Board’s bylaws
and proposed bylaws.
Commissioner Fund asked that the transportation improvement conference agenda be posted on
Facebook.
Commissioner Jackson said he planned to attend the day’s Napavine and Centralia city council meetings.
Commissioner Jackson reviewed the steps for countywide transit, which would be on the November
ballot if it moves forward. He noted the benefits transit would provide. Steve Walton noted concerns
regarding Emergency Services and its proposal.
The group discussed the two-tenths of 1 percent sales tax linked to countywide transit.
Steve said he would discuss the video and audio for the hearing room later in the day.
