2018-04-18 Directors UpdateDirectors’ Update April 18, 2018 9:20 a.m. Present: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Stamper, Steve Mansfield, Lee Napier, Tim Fife, Danette York, Tawni Shepherd, Becky Butler, Steve Wohld, Doug Carey, Steve Walton, Archie Smith Guest: Susan DeLaire Recorder: Rieva Lester Doug Carey discussed a request for Qualifications-Engineering and Architectural Services Capital Facilities Plan. Tim Fife discussed a resolution to extend the closure of a portion of Toledo Salmon Creek Road to all through traffic. Commissioner Fund discussed a Civil Service Commission appointment. Steve Walton discussed re-appointing Todd Mason to the Southwest Washington Fair Commission. Tim Fife discussed a resolution to approve an Applicant Resolution/Authorization between Lewis County and the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for three fish passage restoration projects at county road crossings. Tim Fife discussed a resolution to approve a Quit Claim Deed by and between Lewis County and Dennis Keller for property located at 263 Roundtree Road, Boistfort and authorizing signatures thereon. Lee Napier discussed a resolution to approve Open Space designation applications. Commissioner Stamper made a motion to move two (2) Notice items, two (2) Consent items, four (4) Deliberation items and one (1) Hearing to the Monday, April 23, 2018, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Fund seconded the motion. Motion passed 2-0. Roundtable Archie Smith discussed the importance of the Personnel Authorization Form (PAF). Becky Butler suggested making it part of the employee exit and onboarding efforts. Archie said County Manager recruitment is moving forward and that the new Risk Manager will start May 1. Rieva Lester said the employee picnic will be held July 26. Commissioner Fund said the ITA process has begun. Lee Napier she would attend OMB later in the day and the Chehalis Basin Partnership Meeting on April 20. Commissioner Fund said freeholder informational meetings are planned for April 24 at O’Blarney’s and April 26 at Ramblin Jack’s. Commissioner Fund discussed an upcoming flood insurance meeting planned for 6 p.m. April 26 at the Oakview school. Danette York left at 10:04 a.m. Meeting ended at 10:05 a.m.
