2018-04-18 ESC MeetingESC Meeting April 18, 2018 8:15 a.m. Present: Commissioner Fund, Lee Napier, Arny Davis, Steve Mansfield, Danette York, Tawni Shepherd, Doug Carey, Larry Grove, Suzette Smith, Becky Butler, Steve Walton, Megan Sibbert, Graham Gowing, Bill Wamsley, Shad Hail, Steve Wohld, Scott Tinney, Archie Smith, Casey Mauermann Recorder: Rieva Lester Commissioner Fund called the meeting to order. Steve Wohld made a motion to approve the March 2018 minutes. Scott Tinney seconded. Motion passed. Megan Sibbert gave an update on Munis. She noted that testing has been postponed as the team works to upload the budget. Steve Wohld gave an overview on cybersecurity, including the various different types of cyberattacks. He urged extra vigilance as cyberattacks are on the rise. He said IT is kicking off a cybersecurity campaign. Suzette Smith said invoices should not be sent to an employee’s email address. Commissioner Fund gave an overview of the NACo brief. She said Lewis County did well regarding Secure Rural Schools and Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT). Archie Smith said the Fair Chance Act means job applications no longer can include the box asking if an applicant has been convicted. Archie said he would further explore the use of criminal background checks. The group toured the new training room. Meeting ended at 9:15 a.m.
