2018-04-23 BOCC WrapBOCC Wrap-Up April 23, 2018 9 a.m. Present: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Commissioner Stamper Guest: CJ Neer Recorder: Rieva Lester Commissioner Stamper made a motion to stay with the Great Rivers Behavioral Health Organization for the Criminal Justice Treatment Account. Commissioner Jackson seconded. Commissioner Fund said one-tenth of 1 percent funding pays for Drug Court. Motion passed 3-0. Commissioner Fund said the Office of the Chehalis Basin interviewed two individuals for its director position on April 19. Commissioner Jackson said he attended the Chehalis Basin Partnership meeting April 20. He said Mason County, Napavine and Pe Ell and others worked on the previous WRIA board. He said he is reaching out to the original group to invite them to participate. Commissioner Fund said a FEMA flood insurance meeting is planned for April 26 in Oakville. Commissioner Fund said Virgil Fox stopped by April 20 to voice his frustrations regarding the Onalaska Water District. Commissioner Fund discussed awards for the poster contest winners. Commissioner Stamper gave an update on the Harmony RV Park. He said the RV park has 12 park models and that the county has indicated it needs to inspect them like mobile homes. He said he plans to meet with Fire Marshal Doyle Sanford. Commissioner Stamper said he wants to know why anything above 50 yards requires a fill and grade permit when the SEPA requirement is 500 yards. Commissioner Stamper said a Toledo resident has complained about county trucks filling lagoons in Toledo. The Toledo man wants the trucks to take a different route. Commissioner Jackson gave an update on countywide transit. He said he will meet with groups that will market the idea. He said there adding it to the ballot will cost the county roughly $1,000. He said he can promote it as a citizen but that he cannot urge a vote one way or another. He said he is going to work on FAQs. He said he is working to find an outside group to work on it. Commissioner Jackson said he has asked DPA Ross Petersen to send a letter to the cities to send in their resolutions. Commissioner Jackson said Mayor Bradshaw is working on the Benaroya project. He said Toledo Tel is running fiber optic cable to Winlock. CJ Neer discussed an upcoming fly-in event. Commissioner Jackson left at 9:46 a.m. Meeting ended at 9:47 a.m.
