Commissioner Fund discussed a proclamation recognizing May 13-19, 2018, as Law Enforcement
Recognition Week.
Commissioner Fund discussed a proclamation recognizing May 20-26, 2018, as National EMS Week.
Erik Martin discussed a Notice for Public Hearing regarding a new Chapter to the Lewis County Code
regulating the operation of wheeled all-terrain vehicles on designated County roads and rights of way.
He said the hearing will be June 4.
Lee Napier discussed a notice to set a hearing to approve draft Critical Areas Ordinance. She said the
hearing will be June 11.
Danette York said she may have a Notice to add Monday for a drug take-back ordinance. She said the
hearing would be June 4.
Commissioner Stamper joined at 9:13 a.m.
Commissioner Fund discussed a resolution to rescind Resolutions 99-194 and 15-015, and re-establish
imprest accounts for Lewis County Sheriff's Office; and appoint custodians for said funds.
Steve Wohld discussed a resolution for infrastructure access and support agreements between Lewis
County Information Technology Services Department and the emergency response services of Winlock
Police Department.
Erik Martin discussed a resolution to list the bids received and contractors selected for the Lincoln Creek
Road Stockpile and Fill Site Project.
Archie Smith joined at 9:16 a.m.
Erik Martin discussed a resolution regarding the Selection of a Consultant for the A&E Professional
Services – Design and Engineering of upcoming Grant Funded Fish Passable Structures.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move two (2) Proclamations, two (2) Notice items, two (2)
Consent items and four (4) Deliberation items to the Monday, May 14, 2018, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
Roundtable
Wayne Whiton said he is visiting various areas in the county and will start some site assessments soon.
Steve Wohld said he is working on Prox cards. He said he has been informed IT will be audited by the
FBI.
Commissioner Jackson left at 9:22 a.m.
Becky Butler said an internal service fund memo will go out at week’s end. She said a public disclosure
rate is being developed.
Commissioner Jackson returned and Commissioner Fund left at 9:25 a.m.
Commissioner Fund returned at 9:26 a.m.
Steve Walton said the fair is looking for park aides. He discussed safety procedures regarding locking
doors, etc.
Steve Mansfield said Tacoma Power held an emergency response test recently. He also discussed
changes to the numbering systems on area river gauges. He said he’ll need a contact person from IT. Lee
Napier said she’d like to be involved in the process.
Danette York said information about the Aug. 16 closure of the immunization clinic. Danette said she is
working on updating the dangerous dog code.
Commissioner Fund commended JP Anderson’s work on bus passes for the homeless.
Linda Williams asked about quorums. She said it appears that many meetings only include two
commissioners.
