Bill McDonald from Prothman explained the process for the interviews. There will be two interview
panels.
During the debrief the facilitator will be asking for strengths and concerns.
Interview Panel 2 -Wayne Whiton, Steve Walton, Steve Wohld, Anil Puri, Steve Mansfield, and Daleyn
Coleman left the meeting at 8:40 am.
Interview Panel 1 – Commissioners Fund, Jackson, and Stamper, Bill McDonald, Larry McGee, and Becky
Butler.
Interview Panel 1 started their interview with Dave Campbell at 9:00 am.
The panel took turns asking questions of Mr. Campbell.
Interview ended at 9:46 am.
At 9:48 am Commissioner Fund called a 10-minute executive session per RCW 42.30.110(1)(f) to discuss
and evaluate qualifications of Mr. Campbell. The group came out of executive session at 9:58 am.
At 10:07 am the interview panel 1 started their interview with Erik Martin.
The panel took turns asking questions of Mr. Martin.
At 10:44 am Mr. Martin asked questions regarding how this position would function. What are the
Commissioners expectations for this position?
At 10:50 am Commissioner Fund called a 10-minute executive session per RCW 42.30.110(1)(f) to
discuss and evaluate qualifications of Mr. Martin. The group came out of executive session at 11:06 am.
The group recessed at 11:09 am for 5 minutes.
Panel 2 returned to the meeting room to discuss candidate qualifications.
At 11:14 am Commissioner Fund called a 15-minutes executive session per RCW 42.30.110(1)(f) to
discuss and evaluate qualifications.
At 11:30 am, Commissioner Fund extended executive session for 15 minutes.
At 11:45 am, Commissioner Fund extended executive session for 15 minutes.
The group came out of executive session at 12:00 pm.
The Board will discuss the County Manager position further at their next wrap-up meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 12:05 pm.
