Danette discussed approving contract amendment #1 between Lewis County and Housing Resource Center to add $50,000 funding to current contract for Housing Essential Needs. Danette discussed approving additional $200 for the Lewis County Animal Shelter petty cash fund. Becky Butler discussed a notice of hearing for the 2nd 2018 Budget Amendment for Current Expense and other funds. Rieva Lester and Becky discussed the Vendor Publication list. Danette York left and Sandi Andrus joined at 9:24 a.m. Rieva discussed appointing Peter Lahmann to the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development board. Steve Walton discussed funds for the ATM machines at the Southwest Washington Fair. Steve Walton discussed additional funds to the Southwest Washington Fair Office Revolving Working Account. Steve Walton discussed accepting a Grant for Historic Courthouse Restoration. Archie Smith and Steve Wohld discussed approving an Employment Agreement Between Lewis County and Matthew Trent for Information Technology Network Specialized Services. Erik Martin discussed approving a task assignment pursuant to Interlocal Agreement 05-200 between Lewis County and Tacoma Power regarding work by county crews and authorizing signatures thereon. Rieva discussed a contingent loan agreement with the PFD regarding its bond. Lee Napier discussed a public hearing on Ordinance 1287, Lewis County Comprehensive Plan. Lee discussed a public hearing on Ordinance 1288, Lewis County Zoning Map. Lee discussed a public hearing to approve draft Critical Areas Ordinance 1284. Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move two (2) Notice items, two (2) Consent items, 10 (ten) Deliberation items and three (3) Hearings to the Monday BOCC agenda. Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. Roundtable Lee said she and Commissioner Fund will attend the evening’s OMB meeting. She said moisture readings have begun, and she discussed the process regarding burn bans. Steve Wohld discussed the process for computer replacements, and he discussed the steps that would be needed regarding security breaches. Wayne Whiton discussed training regarding heat illness. Archie Smith discussed upcoming changes to the paid family leave. Susan DeLaire left at 9:50 a.m. Steve Walton said the previous weekend’s Barn Bash was a huge success. Becky discussed position vacancies. Erik Martin discussed entry-level positions open in Public Works. Commissioner Fund praised work performed by the Roads Department. Steve Mansfield and Lee Napier discussed fire danger. Erik Martin discussed the need to plan ahead and said he’d like to discuss policies, etc. with Steve. Steve Wohld discussed using Facebook Live as a tool for emergency information. Gary Fredricks said WSU Extension will be closed the following week as it moves to its new location. Doug Carey cautioned that Facilities has numerous projects taking place. Meeting ended at 10:14 a.m.
