Commissioner Jackson made a motion to add a proclamation honoring Dr. Patrick O’Neill to the day’s
Business Meeting agenda. Commissioner Stamper seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Commissioner Jackson said he is scheduling a meeting to discuss SW Washington Clean Air Agency.
Commissioner Fund said the RTPO is focusing on creating additional rest stops for truck drivers.
Commissioner Stamper discussed the previous week’s airport advisory meeting. He said he’d like to
discuss the topic during Lee Napier’s next update. Commissioner Stamper said he also would like to
discuss the Lemmie Rockford rock pit with Lee, who had said the county is awaiting permits.
Commissioner Fund said the Great Rivers Behavioral Organization has met with Sen. John Braun.
Commissioner Fund discussed the previous week’s Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB)
workshop on rural broadband.
Commissioner Stamper said Wayne Whiton will be the alternate for Risk and that Commissioner Jackson
will be the second alternate.
Commissioner Fund said she and Erik Martin will meet with Michael Wagar of The Chronicle later in the
week to discuss the county manager position.
The commissioners discussed their calendars for the current and following weeks.
Commissioner Jackson said he would call in at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, for the Directors’ Update
meeting.
