The group discussed the call letter for the 2019 budget.
Becky Butler left at 2:40 p.m.
Steve Walton said WSU Extension is getting boxed up and is on track to move to the James Building by
week’s end.
Steve discussed staffing at the fairgrounds and in Facilities. He discussed space planning for Central
Services, Risk and the PDR office.
Steve discussed possibly relocating the Guardian Ad Litem group to the Star Tavern. The group discussed
possibly donating the mobile modular building to the homeless shelter.
Steve said the CFP met with two candidates regard the RFQ and selected a group to go with for the
Capital Facilities plan. He said the next step is to meet with the group and talk about the scope of the
project and the cost.
Steve said Martin Roy is working on the fair annexation. He said fair preparations are ongoing.
Steve said interviews for the accounting specialist position will take place the following week. He gave
updates on personnel issues.
Steve said two project workers have been hired. He said other vacancies exist.
Erik Martin said Sutter Metals may be interested in computer scraps.
Commissioner Jackson left at 3:11 p.m.
Steve said he has heard no more talk about the homeless shelter. He said a new heat pump is in the
works for the Winlock Senior Center.
