2018-07-02 Update with BudgetUpdate with Budget
July 2, 2018
11:15 a.m.
Present: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Stamper, Becky Butler, Steve Walton, Suzette Smith
Recorder: Rieva Lester
Becky Butler said the PA’s Office included two payouts on its amendment request. She said it appears
that the lower pay rate for Eric Eisenberg – as well as the length of the vacancy – offsets Glenn Carter’s
payout.
Becky said the Sheriff’s Office also included payouts in its amendment request.
The group discussed the process that is supposed to be followed: the offices are supposed to bring those
types of issues to the board preemptively.
The commissioners said they would deny those requests for now but may revisit the decision at the end
of the year.
Becky said Shad Hail has submitted a budget amendment request due to job coverage related to an on-
the-job injury.
Suzette Smith said the Auditor’s Office is a bit behind due to the Munis implementation. She said the
PA’s Office has voiced displeasure about the new system. She said she has suggested ways to make it
easier.
