Erik Martin said Lara McRea will be the office manager and will likely start Sept. 1.
He said he will work with IT and Central Services regarding space planning and computer.
Erik said Tim Fife will be the interim director and Kim Amrine will be the interim office manager.
Erik said he has met with Thurston County’s county manager, Ramiro Chavez.
Erik said he would discuss signature authority with Becky Butler.
Commissioner Fund said she wants the commissioners to retain control of vouchers.
Commissioner Stamper said he’d like to keep the BOCC meetings with the electeds.
Erik said he’d like to keep the individual director updates in August and then transition to decision-
making items going through the county manager.
Erik asked that calls and questions be CC’d to him. He said his hope is that the commissioners will be
able to work on policy problems while he’ll work on “people” and procedural problems.
Erik discussed communication and marketing.
The commissioners said they would not need to schedule individual updates. They said they would like a
weekly county manager meeting.
